Green Tea Health Benefits
For Breast Cancer

Green tea health benefits have been known about in China and Japan for thousands of years and now green tea is gaining popularity everywhere. Have you looked in your supermarket lately? The selection is vast. Um, what do I get? Loose leaf green tea or should I go down the tea bagging path? It's a hard decision to choose!! Lovers of green tea find it to be light, refreshing, and full of goodies!

So what has green tea got to do with breast cancer? The benefits of drinking green tea are that it's loaded with antioxidants which can attack cancer cells, while leaving the healthy tissue unharmed. That has to be a big plus! As well as having a high level of green tea antioxidant, there are also many vitamins and minerals found in this healthy drink. So boil up the billie girls, its time for a brew!

Green tea antioxidant levels are higher than antioxidants in other teas. It's thought the minimal processing of the tea leaf is the reason for this. To gain the most benefits of drinking green tea, you would need to drink three to four cups a day. You could get your green tea antioxidant via a pill, but it would not be as nice, and you wouldn't have a reason to take ten minutes out of a busy day for a break.

Whats the difference between black tea and green tea? Both are great for you and both are popular. Green tea is not fermented and oxidised in its processing, like black tea is. This means that green tea antioxidant compounds are not diluted, therefore giving us increased green tea health benefits. Sounds good to me! Are there green tea health benefits for other diseases such as diabetes? For more information visit Your Cup Of Tea.

The caffeine content in green tea is much lower than having a cup of coffee, or regular tea. You can buy decaf tea but you do need to careful and read the label to find what processing was done to become decaffeinated. Sometimes a chemical process is used.

So switch the jug on and get your favourite cup out. It doesn't matter if you are a loose leaf green tea fan or a tea bagging sort of girl! Get those antioxidants into your body, take a break, and know that you have increased your chances against breast cancer.
